Germany Adds 1.4 GW of PV in July: Rooftop and Ground-Mount Growth Drives Demand for Reliable Mounting Solutions

According to the latest data from Bundesnetzagentur, Germany deployed approximately 1.4 GW of new photovoltaic (PV) capacity in July, marking a growth from 1,033 MW in June and maintaining the same level as around 1.4 GW in July 2024. In the first seven months of 2025, cumulative PV installations in Germany reached around 8.64 GW. Although this is a slight decrease compared to the 9.34 GW installed in the same period last year, the market remains dynamic, with diverse project types driving sector growth. A breakdown of July's new capacity reveals that rooftop PV systems accounted for 628.7 MW, while ground-mounted projects contributed 581.9 MW, with the remaining capacity coming from other system types.
